How to use Workout Stack

You only need the Dashboard and Workout tabs to get started. Everything else can wait.
Important: your workout data is stored on this device. Use Backup at the top before changing phone/computer, clearing browser data, or uninstalling the app. Restore replaces the data currently on the device.

1Do your normal workout

  1. Open Dashboard.
  2. Tap Start workout.
  3. Enter the weight and reps for each set.
  4. RPE is optional — leave it blank if you do not use it.
  5. Add any session notes, then tap Finish & save workout.
Example: Leg Press says 3 × 8–10. If you do 60 kg for 10, 10 and 9 reps, enter those three sets and save the workout.

2What happens next time?

The app remembers your previous logged weights. When you open that exercise next time, the last weights are shown so you have a starting point.

Simple progression rule: once you reach the top of the rep range on every working set with good form, increase the load slightly next time. If you repeatedly cannot reach the bottom of the range, reduce the load a little.

3Change your programme

  • Open Programme.
  • Choose Day A, B or C from Training day.
  • Edit changes sets or rep range.
  • Remove takes an exercise out of that day.
  • + Add exercise adds something from your exercise library.
  • You can also change the programme name, goal and default rest time.

4Exercises & machine photos

  • Open Exercises to search the exercise library.
  • Tap Edit to change the name, muscle group, equipment or instructions.
  • Use Add / replace machine photo to save a photo of the exact machine at your gym.
  • + New exercise creates your own exercise.

Photos are stored with your local app data, so make a Backup after adding lots of them.

5Track progress

  • Open Progress to see saved workout history.
  • Tap + Add entry to log body weight and optional waist measurement.
  • The Dashboard shows sessions, PR activity, week completion and latest body weight.

6Backup, Restore & Reset

  • Backup downloads a JSON copy of all app data.
  • Restore loads a previous Workout Stack backup and replaces current local data.
  • Reset demo data wipes your current local entries and returns the app to the starter programme.

Use Reset carefully. Back up first if there is anything you want to keep.

RPE, if you want to use it: 7 = around 3 reps left in reserve, 8 = around 2, 9 = around 1, 10 = maximum effort. You do not need to fill this in for the app to work.
